Come help with the Lions KidSight Vision Event. Finding kids with possible vision problems can have a huge impact on their lives. Kids need to see to succeed.
We have KidSight screenings during the Dragon Boat Festival. This is a big event. In the past, we have screened 300+ kids over two days. The festival is also a lot of fun for the whole family. We need six volunteers for each shift.
No experience is necessary for this KidSight event.
Event: KidSight at the Dragon Boat Festival
Date: Saturday, July 23 and Sunday, July 24
Time: 10 am to 4 pm each day. Can use help for as long as you can. Just let us know when you can help,
Location: Sloan’s Lake. (Sheridan and Byron)
Parking: Free Shuttles from the parking lot Free shuttle from Mile High to the event - 10 min ride

We have partnered with Colorado Academy Project H.O.P.E. to do KidSight Screening at this event. This is a huge event and we expect to screen at least 400 kids. We are planning to use 4-6 PlusOptix to keep screening these many kids. We will need help in screening and managing the flow of kids and parents. They are expecting 2000 people with over half being kids. Below is an event description. WE NEED A TEAM LEADER AND FIVE SCREENERS. Founded in the mid-90s by students from the Class of 1996, Students H.O.P.E. (Helping Other People Eat) has evolved into the largest service-learning project on the CA campus – and a major event for faculty, parent volunteers, and school staff as well. The first event served approximately 200 people in a downtown Denver homeless shelter. Today, this Upper School student-run event provides gently used clothing, toiletry and baby care items, new holiday toys, basic medical care including flu shots, and a holiday meal to a growing population – 1800 attendees in 2018 – each December on our campus. Many disadvantaged families are bused by CA from downtown shelters and agencies.
