This is an excellent opportunity to see how eyeglasses collected by Lions Clubs are processed for distribution to the needy.
Event: Open House at Colorado Lions Eyeglass Recycling Center – COLERC
Date: Friday, May 2nd
Time: 4 to 7 pm
Location: COLERC is very close to the convention hotel (DoubleTree) and the convention site (Lincoln College of Technology)
Transportation: The COLERC Board of Directors will be available to pick up Lions who may not want to drive to COLERC.

Directions if driving: (do not use GPS as it is not accurate)
From Double Tree: (10 min)
- Exit the hotel and turn right (west) on Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd or exit the hotel on East 33rd Ave and turn left (west).
- On either street, proceed west to Monaco Parkway and turn right (going north)
- Go under I70 and then turn left into the large warehouse parking lot.
- COLERC will be on the right, about halfway to the end, near the beige cargo container.
From Lincoln College (13 min)
- Exit the College and go left (west) on 45th Street
- Go to Havana St. and turn left (going south)
- Go to Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. and turn right (going west)
- Go to Monaco Parkway and turn right (going north)
- Go under I70 and then turn left into a large warehouse parking lot.
- COLERC will be on the right, about halfway to the end, near the beige cargo container.
