Storage space at COLERC is limited. As we sort and process eyeglasses, many are not usable in international campaigns. We send these to Respect, who separates the metal and lens. All the pieces are recycled, and some lenses are used in paint. We needed room to store glasses before shipping them to Respect, so we purchased a 20-foot container.
Reminder: We need more volunteers to help process glasses. Processing glasses is more than a lensometer. There are six steps in the process. Recycle for Sight is more than just collecting glasses. PLEASE VOLUNTEER
