Colorado Gives Day Dec 8

Go to www.coloradogives.org  pick your charity and make a donation. This is a way to make your donation go further.  These donation qualify as a charity tax donation.  But you have to do it on December 8, 2015

Lions programs participating are Savio House, KidSight and RMLEBank.  Other non-profits associated with out Lions Club members:  Conflict Center, Bessie’s Hope, Spring Institute and others.

For the sixth year, Community First Foundation and First Bank are partnering to present Colorado Gives Day on Tuesday, December 8, 2015. Colorado Gives Day is an annual statewide movement to celebrate and increase philanthropy in Colorado through online giving. The $1 Million Incentive Fund created by the partners is one of the largest gives-day incentive funds in the country.

Community First Foundation and First Bank each contributed $500,000 to create a $1 Million Incentive Fund again this year, one of the largest in the country! It increases the value of every donation proportionally.  

Here’s how it works: If a nonprofit organization receives 10 percent of the total amount of money raised on Colorado Gives Day, that same nonprofit receives 10 percent of the $1 Million Incentive Fund.

At the completion of Colorado Gives Day, the Foundation will determine each nonprofit's proportionate share of the incentive fund by dividing the total amount each charity raised by the total amount of donations to all participating nonprofits. This amount will then be multiplied by the total amount of dollars in the Incentive Fund.
