An important aspect of being welcoming, is getting to know someone

Do you have a good way to get to know someone new without just talking about your job and where you are from? We all know it’s best to avoid talking about politics and religion. Usually you are just looking for a pleasant way to pass the time and maybe to find a new friend. The best way to really get to know someone is to learn what they do (with their spare time) and what they like (probably also shows up in what they do). So, in order to help facilitate the process of getting to know each other more, we'll be including in the Roarings each week some new ideas for topics or questions to discuss at lunch. Be ready with your own answers too!

Topics/Questions for this week:

If you could invite four famous people to dinner, who would you choose and why?

If you had a time machine that would work only once, what point in the future or in history would you visit?

If you were a vegetable, what vegetable would you be?
