We had a very successful I sorting event. A team of 45 Lions, friends, and family sorted 17,000 eyeglasses. The nine Lions Clubs that participated were Littleton, Centennial Airport, Golden, Denver, Lafayette, Highlands Ranch, Cyber, Bennett-Watkins, and Englewood.
Also, the team collected 300 pounds of metal eyeglass cases and sent them to a metal recycler. The recycler pays $0.075 per pound. That is not much money, but the real reason is that the cases do not end up in a landfill.
A big Lions ROAR for the Lions who helped in this service event.
