Denver Lions are planning our second eyesight project in Mongolia, based on the very successful odyssey last year, the relationships established with Mongolia Lions and the need in parts of the country we did not visit last year.
The exact departure date is not fixed, but it is anticipated that we will depart about August 8 and return about August 18.
The trip will provide the opportunity for eyesight testing and giving glasses in some of the nomadic areas of Mongolia which will by definition involve adventure travel for those who participate. It is anticipated that we will be holding meetings and perhaps do some training with the Lions in the capital city of Ulaanbaatar, but most of the time will be spent in the Middle and South Gobi areas, which will require extended travel in land rovers over the beautiful steppes of the country.
