Update from your District 6C LCIF Coordinator
Thanks to all of you who have been donating to Lions Clubs International Foundation (LCIF) this Lion’s year. As of 12/31/2024, 10 out of 26 clubs in our District have raised $9,179.72. If you or your Club have not made a donation, it is not too late to help us raise more money.
At the District 6C Convention on April 19 & 20th, we will be holding a Silent Auction to help raise funds for LCIF and you can help me by:
- Donating new or suitable used items with a value of $20.00 or greater; or by asking other vendors or businesses to donate items. Items can include art, gift baskets, wine & glasses, gift cards or gift certificates, Lions related gifts Sports tickets or memorabilia, theater or movie tickets, books, quilts….or whatever you are willing to give that is unique and interesting.
- Volunteering to setup or staff the silent Auction tables - - I need about 4-5 volunteers.
- Volunteering to help collect or pick up silent auction items - - I need about 2 volunteers.
If you have any items to donate for the Silent Auction, please advise PDG Gwen “Cookie” Balk, 6C LCIF Coordinator no later than April 1st with the below information:
- Your name and address or the name and address of your Donor.
- Your Club name.
- Your phone number or email address.
- The description of the Silent Auction item or donation; and please include value of the item along with the Minimum opening bid (or lowest starting bid for the item). If no one bids on the item or bids below the minimum bid, we will return the item to you unless you specify that we can keep it to use for another event.
