Lion Sally is retiring as the Hearing Committee Chair (HCC), and we need someone to take over. The Reason she is retiring is that the Marion Downs Center has moved from Denver to DTC. We need a Lion that lives closer to DTC.
Lions provided hearing tests to 97 people in need from July 2023 to 2025. Total $14,100
Being the Hearing Committee Chair is not very difficult. There are two responsibilities.
- We collect hearing aids in the same donation box as the eyeglasses. These hearing aids are stored in the Lions' room at the Baptist Church. The Lion would pick these up and take them to Marion Downs Center.
- The Lion would approve a hearing exam for those in need. This is about $150 each. The process is:
- MDC sends a request to HCC.
- HCC sends a request to the DLF treasurer
- Treasure sends a check to MDC with a copy to HCC
- HCC keeps a record of the number of hearing tests provided and the dollar amounts.
