The Denver Lions Club will make a change of venue for our lunch meeting beginning with the meeting on Tuesday October 24th, 2023. We have determined that our finances and attendance can no longer support having our meetings and lunches at the Logan Street Restaurant.
The new venue is the American Legion Post 1, located at 5400 E. Yale, Denver CO 80222. This is very close to I-25 and Yale and has ample free parking. Meals, until the end of the year, will be included in your dues. Those members who do not include luncheon in their dues will be invoiced as usual, including room charge, tax, and tip. Chef Michael Gropper and his crew will provide dinner-style buffet meals in a private room.

Chef Michael is the founder of CulinaryArtsBootcampForVeterans.org. Veterans Homelessness is a huge problem, and some might even say an epidemic. Culinary Arts Boot Camp for Veterans, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in Denver, Colorado, is working to solve this problem in our community through the culinary arts and veterans supporting veterans.

His is no ordinary culinary program; it is a program that supports homeless veterans and those veterans in transition with free culinary training and the camaraderie and fidelity of fellow veterans. By moving the Denver Lions Club lunches to this new venue, we can support a worthy cause and solve our own budgetary problems. We hope to see you at the October 24th meeting.
