An alternative to hearing aids is a “Pocketalker”. The Pocketalker is simple personal amplifier used to amplify specific sounds or voices. The Pocketalker uses ear buds or earphones to give a direct connection to a microphone. It works for one-on-one communication with someone close to the listener. The volume is easy to adjust and can be used with mild to severe levels of hearing loss.
