We just completed the Annual Lions State Convention.  As the Host Club, Lions Fletcher Co-Chaired with Carol Louks (State Office Manager).  The Convention Committee was the Council Chair Andy Smith and all the District Governors.  The Denver Lions had a tremendous presence over the two days with 21 members and 6 spouses attending.  Photograph of some attending the dinner.

Our Lions participated in two Service projects.   We help sort over a thousand eye glasses which were taken to the Sterling Lions for further processing.  We also help sort and label well over 3000 children’s books for distribution throughout Colorado to kids in need.

Our Lions volunteered for help at the convention such as the registration desk.

Lion Steve Kinsky was elected 6C District Governor and Lion Flossie O’Leary was elected to the Board of Trustees of the Lion Camp.

Our Denver Lions helped with the breakout sessions.  Lion Chis Dirgo led the session on Recruiting Members though Social Media.  Lion Dwight Steen led the session on Lion History.   Lion Dee Pape along with the CEO Gary Drews led the sessions of 9 Health Fair.  All these sessions were well attended.
Our Denver Lions Legacy Book had a lot of interest from many Lions.  We sold a number of books with the proceeds going to our Foundation.

By the numbers there were 233 Lions registered from 60 clubs.

We succeeded in meeting the goals of the convention Service, Learning, Fellowship, Interaction and Fun. This is just a start as we have a lot more to tell and more pictures about the convention.

Thanks to all Denver Lions who attended and helped with the convention.
