A Celebration of 25 years of service to vision care, research, and education
In 2026, RMLEIF celebrates 25 years since the Rocky Mountain Lions Eye Institute (RMLEI) opened—a milestone made possible through the leadership and generosity of Lions. In honor of this anniversary, we invite Lions and community supporters to give $25 for 25 Years and help ensure vision care continues for the next 25 years.
In May 2001, RMLEI welcomed its first patients. Today, 25 years later, RMLEI provides more than 155,000 patient visits annually and has been recognized as one of the Top Ten eye
institutes in the country! Rocky Mountain Lions Eye Institute Foundation’s mission is to provide financial support for the Eye Institute, specifically for patient care, education, and research.
That support has contributed to groundbreaking research, innovation, and medical advances in vision care. Ongoing research includes work specifically targeting glaucoma, age-related macular degeneration, and the prevention of blindness from retinal diseases. Lions have helped support the extraordinary work being accomplished at RMLEI, and future research is very promising.
