Peter Van Arsdale, Ph.D., is an applied cultural anthropologist whose five decades of professional and volunteer work span all seven continents. His specialties include human rights, humanitarian assistance, community development (with a special focus on WASH [water, sanitation, hygiene] resources), and research methodology. He directed African Initiatives at the Josef Korbel School of International Studies at D.U., and earlier, headed the program evaluation unit at the Colorado Mental Health Institute. Refugee and immigrant programs were a specialty there. He co-founded The Denver Hospice. Active in Rotary, he was recently named a Rotary WASH Ambassador. His Nov. 10th presentation will build on his article, "Global Human Rights," published by Oxford University Press.
