Joshua Thurmond loves three things: food, outdoor sports and social equality. When he’s not kayaking or curing a ham, he is busy as the Metro Program Director for the National Sports Center for the Disabled, where he assures that everyone has equal access to outdoor adventure sports and peak life experiences. Josh has a degree in Culinary Arts from Johnson & Wales and a Master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Colorado as well as accreditation in whitewater kayaking and swift water rescue. He has worked on expeditions with National Geographic, sits on the Colorado Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) board, and received the MADD Hero Award for 2012. Josh, his partner and their two children have lived in Denver, Colorado since 2005.
