Denver Lions Foundation Donations
The Denver Lions do not conduct fundraisers as a way to raise money for the foundation.  We rely principally on your compassion and generous donations, knowing the good work that we do—a huge thank you to all who have contributed over the years.

The goal this year is to have every member donate something to the foundation.  Other service clubs require members to donate a minimum amount to maintain their membership.  We do not have a minimum requirement, but we kindly ask that you consider donating.

Your support—whether big or small—directly fuels our ability to serve and make a difference in the lives of those who need us most.  Also, when we apply for grants, they ask how many of our members contributed to DLF.

Together, we can accomplish so much more.

Thank you for your continued dedication and generosity.

Three ways to donate to the Denver Lions Foundation

  • CLICK HERE to donate through Colorado Gives (the preferred method, as no transaction fees). You do not need to donate just on Colorado Gives Day.  You can donate now. Just not after the Gives Day date.  Also, you receive an automatic receipt for taxes.
  • CLICK HERE to donate through the Denverlions.org website.
  • Send check to Denver Lions Foundation, 1373 Grant St, Denver, CO 80203
We Serve Opportunities
The Denver Lions have many volunteering opportunities. But we do have openings.  The most urgent servicing opportunities and the Lion contact:
  • COLERC - processing recycled eyeglasses for distribution worldwide.  Lions Fletcher brownsinco@gmail.com or Dwight dwight.steen@gmail.com
  • KidSight - Manage the KidSight program - Lion Fletcher brownsinco@gmail.com
  • KidSight - Vision screener at schools - Lion Fletcher brownsinco@gmail.com
  • Hearing Conservation - Collecting hearing aids and approving requests for hearing exams - Lion Sally  sahoos@aol.com
  • Recycle for Sight - Collect used eyeglasses from donation boxes - Lion Jeff  jaorne1@gmail.com
  • Social Events - Lion BoPogue
  • Meeting Greeters - Lion Bo Pogue
Need Hearing Commitee Chair
Lion Sally is retiring as the Hearing Committee Chair (HCC), and we need someone to take over. The Reason she is retiring is that the Marion Downs Center has moved from Denver to DTC. We need a Lion that lives closer to DTC.

Lions provided hearing tests to 97 people in need from July 2023 to 2025. Total $14,100

Being the Hearing Committee Chair is not very difficult.  There are two responsibilities.
  • We collect hearing aids in the same donation box as the eyeglasses. These hearing aids are stored in the Lions' room at the Baptist Church. The Lion would pick these up and take them to Marion Downs Center.
  • The Lion would approve a hearing exam for those in need.  This is about $150 each.  The process is:
    • MDC sends a request to HCC.
    • HCC sends a request to the DLF treasurer
    • Treasure sends a check to MDC with a copy to HCC
    • HCC keeps a record of the number of hearing tests provided and the dollar amounts.
