A little-known feature of the Denver Lions is our office telephone number. This is an integral part of our service work. The number is listed on our website. Here's how it works. An individual calls the number and asks to leave a message. Depending on the need, The recorded message is transferred to Lions John Love, Sally Hooks, Fletcher Brown, Arti Kale, or Jeff Orne's emails. This is the only Lions Club telephone number in the District and possibly the state.
In 2024, the number received was 1157 calls, or about 22 calls a week. Most calls are for eyeglasses and exams, recycling glasses, hearing aids, and individual social needs. The system allows the Lions to help people in need promptly.
