COLERC has been working with IMR by supplying them with eyeglasses for many of their medical campaigns. They have over 200 campaigns a year with thousands of volunteers.  In recent months, IMR has been coming every Monday with volunteers to help process glasses.  They are moving their Denver offices to their Loveland, CO distribution center, which will bring more office space.  They offered to provide office space to set up a satellite COLERC to process eyeglasses.  This has been done and is up and running with their volunteers.  We provide them with the collected glasses, and they process them and return them to COLERC for entry into inventory.

International Medical Relief (IMR) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that provides health care to underserved and vulnerable people around the world. IMR recruits qualified medical, dental, and surgical teams and offers short-term assignments for volunteer doctors, dentists, and other health care professionals as well as non-medical volunteers to conduct medical clinics in areas where medical care is limited or difficult to obtain. IMR was founded on the belief that knowledge of basic health facts and access to health care should not be the prerogative of select nations, regions, or classes, but should be shared by as many people as possible.  While IMR operates sustainable, long-term solutions in our communities, global health volunteers often participate for one to two weeks beyond our borders.
